The men’s shot put has become a central feature of Morton Games in recent years with some top-class international athletes making the trip to Dublin and producing world-class performances . We’ve been spoiled with stadium records in both 2023 and 2024.
The 2025 men’s shot put, which is once again kindly sponsored by Whiteford Geo Services, has attracted another excellent line up.
Making a welcome return is Irish champion and recordholder Eric Favors, the Raheny Shamrocks man had to pull out of last year’s event due to injury, however is now back to his best and will certainly challenge for an Irish win. Also making a welcome return is John Kelly (Finn Valley) healthy again after a couple of years injury woes.
New Zealander Nick Palmer, Tadeas Prochazka (CZE) and Anastasios Latifllari (GRE) all return for another Morton Games. Poland’s Szymon Mazur, a 20 meter man will be one of the favourites. Making it a real international affair are Viktor Gardenkrans (SWE), Francesco Trabacca (ITA) and Swiss pairing Stefan Wieland and Jephte Vogel.
With the shot put circle on the main stand side of the arena the crowd will witness a spectacular event on July 11th.
