Another first for Morton Games is the introduction this year of a women's mixed classification para 100, generously sponsored by Allianz, which has seen a stellar entry of athletes laden down with global medals. The entry is headed by Orla Comerford. The home favourite is the T 13 world 100 and 200 champion, and looks to be the athlete to beat having last weekend set a new 100 pb of 11.76. Comerford's fellow Irish finalist at those world para championships Lana Sutton, T38 class is also a confirmed starter.
Anna Grimaldi (NZL) will come to Morton Games as part of her preparations for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. One of the world's top para athletes, she has won three Paralympic gold medals in the T 47 class at successive Paralympic Games: long jump in 2016 in Rio, repeating that feat at the 2021 Games in Tokyo and in Paris in 2024 she took gold in the 200.
Also heading to Glasgow with a Morton Games stop off is Australia's Rihannon Clarke, T 38 2023 world 400 silver medallist and 2018 world 100 and 200 bronze medallist.
Luca Ekler (HUN) is another prolific medal winner in the Paralympics, in the T 38 class in Tokyo she won long jump gold and in Paris retained that gold and added 400 silver.
Britain's Didi Okoh, T63, was a 100 Paralympic bronze medal winner in Paris and the following year took bronze in the world para games.
Jule Ross (GER) who compete in the T 46 class, took 400 bronze at the 2025 world Championships and was a finalist in the Paris Paralympic games the previous year. Norwegian Paris Paralympian Ida-Louise Overland will also line up..
The field is completed by Northern Ireland's Sally Brown, the T 46/T 47 athlete won a bronze medal back at the 2011 world para championships and has medalled at both world junior para championships and European Para championships.
This event is a superb addition to the main international programme of Morton Games taking place in less than a fortnight's time.
