Davy 100 Hurdles wide open!

The absence of defending champion Sarah Lavin blows the Davy women’s 100 hurdles wide open. There are a couple of Irish athletes who will now look to seize the opportunity, none more so than Molly Scott, the Carlow athlete certainly has speed to burn, she is a two-time national indoor 60 champion, 2022 and 2024 with a 13.59 PB over the 100 hurdles. Likewise Sarah Quinn will be eyeing the top step of the podium, she was two-time champion in the hurdles in 2020, indoor 60 H and 100 H.

Favourite may well be the Australian National silver medallist from earlier this year, Danielle  Shaw, who has a 12.98 PB. Expect however strong challenges from 6 time Estonian champion Diana Summann, Iryna Budzynska from Ukraine, an athlete with a 13.09 PB, Switzerland’s Selina Von Jackowski, 13.01 best and British pairing Lucy-Jane Matthews and Marli Jessop

The line up is completed by Ireland’s Arabella Adekoya and U/20 athlete Orlaith Mannion.

With all 10 lanes full the Davy 100 hurdles will provide a fine spectacle for the fans in Morton Stadium next Friday.
