High Hopes for Top women`s High Jump

Morton Games once again looks to hosting a top class women’s competition at this year’s meet. 2018 saw the first women’s high jump at Morton Games attract some World class athletes including Ireland’s U/20 World silver medalist Sommer Lecky, Canadian Olympic finalist Alex Treasure and former NCAA champion Liz Patterson (USA) who won with a 1.91m best.

Already there has been great interest with 2018 runner up Ireland`s Philippa Rogan confirmed. Phillipa on June 9th jumped a new PB in the British league of 1.87m. Also confirmed is Anna McIlmoyle (City of Lisburn), who placed 2nd in the recent North Ireland championships, and in round one of the National league jumped a 1.70m pb. Hopes are also very high that Sommer Lecky will be in Santry on August 21st.
