The Men’s 100, sponsored by Athletics Leinster will feature a number of top Canadian sprinters.
Making his first trip to Morton Games is Sam Effah, a multi-decorated international. The Calgary native has represented Canada at three World Championships, two World University Games and also the Commonwealth Games and is a two time Canadian national 100 champion. He has a PB of 10.06 and was a finalist in last weekend’s Canadian Championships.
Bronze medallist at those Canadian Championships was Bismark Boateng in a time of 10.23. Bismark is no stranger to Morton Games and this year will represent his third appearance at the Meet and he will be aiming for his 3rd podium.
The third Canadian competing in the 100 is Ben Williams, another athlete who made the final of the Canadian 100 Championships last weekend where he finished in 7 th place in a time of 10.38. Williams has a personal best of 10.17, in a plus 2.1 wind and a ‘legal’ PB of 10.23.
